Caregiver Omnimedia is, at heart, a marketing communications company with an eye firmly on family caregiving and home care in Canada. Founded in 2003, by caregivers, who also happen to have over 90 combined years of senior advertising and marketing experience. The mission of the company has been to understand the ever changing family caregiver population, connect with them as individuals and consumers, and educate the country to both effectively face the realities of this burgeoning market and to promote a new and vital dialogue with them. We execute by using our newspaper (the Family Caregiver Newsmagazine), website (www.thefamilycaregiver.com), as well as content driven, needs driven guides in Home Modification and Discharge Planning. We produce and operate Family Caregiving and Home Care Expos, seminars and summits, produce social media, custom content websites and publications, and have an extensive marketing consultancy around assisting governments, not-for-profits and major corporations identify and engage family caregivers as consumers.

Caregiver Omnimedia sees many positive changes taking place. In particular, we see an expansion of the use of home care technology serving family caregivers and we're impressed with the development of many new technologies.

It's important to recognize that nearly 7 million family caregivers are a critical extension to the formal health care team. Their efforts, if charged at normal hourly rates, would cost the health care system $25 BILLION. It is, therefore, important to do all we can to support them.

Caregiver Omnimedia creates marketing programs and knowledge service programs that represent a whole new approach in supporting family caregivers. We have adapted clinical practice guidelines used more and more by physicians and other home care professionals for use by family caregivers in areas such as managing their family's personal health information in the privacy-challenging world of electronic health records, chronic pain management, dementia, and diabetes.
